Week 5 - A very basic introduction to ArchiCad

Week 5

Using the image provided we modeled Le Corbusiers Domino house in ArchiCad.

As a class we went through floor by floor building the model. First we had to define the units and set the storey heights.

First we created the footings with the slab tool, drawing them in plan. Then we made the slabs and columns. The stairs were added using the stair comand and modified to suit.

Resulting in.....

Our next task was to create a set of drawings from this model. Using the Organizer we draged drawings from the project map to thier corresponding files in the view map here we specified how the drawing was going to look when printed, scale, penweights etc....

These view maps were then draged into corresponding layouts in the layout book again using the organizer. Here we modified how the drawings were going to be layed out onto sheets.

Then we draged these layouts into the corresponding files in the publisher set using the organizer. This allows you to print a whole set of drawings at once. We created a pdf set of drawings.
